Splash Pad A Possibility For Inman

INMAN – The Inman City Council has started looking into building a splash pad, which would be constructed at Lambert Park.

Council members discussed the issue during their meeting Monday, Nov. 13, at the city office.

Council members Devin Schierling and Ruth Sisson agreed to serve on a committee to explore the possibility of a splash pad. Even though Sisson was leaving her council seat in January, she agreed to help with the project.

“A lot of small towns have built splash parks,” Schierling said. “They don’t require as much maintenance and liability to the city as a swimming pool.

Inman Council Looks At Road For Industrial Park

INMAN – The Inman City Council decided to delay making a decision on putting in a road in the northwest corner of the city Industrial Park on the west side of Inman.

Council members agreed with Economic Development Director Zach Davidson to schedule a meeting in January to discuss plans for developing the land.

Discussions on the possible road were part of the council meeting on Monday, Nov. 13, at the city office.

Strausz Talks To Council About Changes To Cole Street

MOUNDRIDGE – Mike Strausz, City of Moundridge’s street supervisor, gave the Moundridge City Council an update on changes to east Cole Street during the council’s regular meeting Monday, Nov. 6, at the city office.

Strausz said the Kansas Department of Transportation’s safety board recommended the changes to Cole.

“This is going to be a drastic change,” Strausz said.
