MOUNDRIDGE – Housing, job growth and improvements to infrastructure  were mentioned among the top issues facing the City of Moundridge, candidates for the mayor’s office mentioned in a questionnaire on the upcoming election.

Voters will choose from a field of three candidates when they go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Incumbent Gary Fisher is seeking another term in office. Moundridge Councilman Jeremy Moore and former Councilman Dwayne Willis have also filed for office.

Economic Growth, Housing Top Issues For Inman Council

INMAN – Economic growth and housing were among the top issues for the individuals vying for a spot on the Inman City Council.

There are two sets up for election. Incumbent Don Froese has filed for re-election. However, Council member Ruth Sisson decided against filing for office

Voters will be selecting two people for the council when they go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Smith To Serve As Moundridge Chamber President

MOUNDRIDGE – Sommer Smith, with Moundridge Communications Network, will service the president of the Moundridge Chamber of Commerce for the 2017-18 fiscal years.

Officers for the Chamber were announced during the Chamber’s regular monthly luncheon Thursday, Oct. 28, at Quincy’s Bar and Grill.

“I’m excited about it,” Smith said of starting her term. “We have a good group.
