INMAN – Ashton Brunk and Cassie Flaming wanted to mix many components into their senior project at Inman High School.

The two teens added a chili cook-off with a dance clinic and added a pinch of T-shirt sales to come away with an event that raised around $650 for Operation Homefront: Home of the Free because of the Brave.

The chili contest was held Friday, Jan. 5, at the Inman Wellness Center.

“The chili cook-off has been a tradition in Inman for a few years and for the past couple of years, no one has done it,” Brunk said. “We do both like chili and it’s really neat to be able to try everyone’s favorite recipe.”
