Vehicles Galore Come To Inman; Annual Classic Car Show Shatters Old Mark With 176

INMAN – Take sunny skies with temperatures in the 70s, and car enthusiasts cannot wait to get outside.

Near “perfect” weather conditions helped to bring a record-number of vehicles to the 28th annual Inman Classic Car Show Saturday, April 28, in downtown Inman, show coordinator Lori Kearns said.

“I know a lot of guys were itching to get their cars out,” Kearns said.

A record-shattering 176 vehicles were entered in this year’s car show, filling the downtown area with a variety of vehicles. The previous record was 132.

Barnyard Day; Inman FFA Shows Animals, Ag-Related Items

INMAN – Kaycee Wedel, senior at Inman High School, said her horse, Bandit, did not mind the younger children coming up to pet her and touch her mane during the Inman FFA Chapters annual Barnyard Day event Wednesday, April 25, at the Inman City Pasture.

“She really enjoys the attention she’s getting,” Wedel said.

Wedel added the children were eager to attend, despite the wet conditions and cooler temperatures.

“They enjoy it,” she noted. “They want to find out about the animals.”

Wedel had one of 22 stations the FFA students had set up around the pasture.

Moundridge Library Hosting ‘Big Talk’ On Gun Violence

MOUNDRIDGE – Jill Stern, director of the Moundridge Public Library, decided it was time for community members to have a “Big Talk” about the threat of gun violence.

The library is hosting the First Annual Interfaith Big Talk, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 14, at the Pine Village Wellness Center.

Stern said she wanted to bring community members together to begin discussing the issue.
