LEON – Jamya O’Quinn and Emma Green won two individual events apiece and then were half of Moundridge High School’s winning 4x100-meter relay team as the Lady Wildcats finished fourth as a team in the Class 2A Regional Track Meet Thursday, May 17, at Bluestem High School in Leon.

“We’re pretty excited for that,” MHS head coach Brian Holloway said of the team finish. “I think the kids did a good job.”

O’Quinn continued her domination in the short sprints. She captured the 100-meter dash in 12.53 seconds and her sister, Josalyn O’Quinn was third in 13.29. Both qualified for the state.

Jamya O’Quinn easily won the 200-meter dash in 25.88.

“She has not been beaten this year in the finals of the 100 and 200 except for at the KU Relays,” Holloway said.
